Alen Vukovic, Founding Teacher

Alen's path to meditation began in 2009 when he faced a significant health challenge while working as a corporate consultant specializing in change management and organizational development.

After his recovery, he focused mainly on integrating mindfulness into daily life, inspired by the teachings of the Theravada forest tradition. His primary teachers are Ajahn Puttar and Sayadaw U Tejaniya, both of whom teach the open-awareness style of Vipassana meditation and emphasize a pragmatic approach to everyday mindfulness. Additionally, he studied with Ajahn Poh, who specializes in Samatha meditation in the Anapanasati style. In Germany, he studied with Thomas Hübl, where he learned practices incorporating an understanding of the nervous system and trauma-informed approaches.

As a husband and father of three sons, Alen's teaching style focuses on practical methods for maintaining awareness in a busy family life. As the founder of Insight Rock, he makes these everyday practices accessible through online courses and regular teachings, emphasizing mindfulness in work, relationships, and family situations.
